Croft View

Posted under Painting

We spent our Easter in a remote, isolated croft not far from Applecross. We punished our muscles by walking up mountains but the view at the top was worth it.

Barcelona

Posted under Painting

I have just returned from Barcelona. We visited lots of galleries and spent a day in the Massana Art College. Apparently Gaudi died there! This is a quick watercolour of the lively Placa Reial where we stayed, just off the Ramblas.

Escaping the rain

Posted under Painting & Uncategorized

Apologies for neglecting the blog in August…the first half of the month was busy organising space in which to work. This involved renovating an old building and am still waiting for two days of sunshine to paint the outside! The latter half of the month was  spent seeking sunshine and absorbing the culture in Barcelona then meeting with family staying near Moraira.

Haworth GraveyardWe just rented a cottage for a week with a view overlooking both a spooky graveyard and the parsonage where the Bronte sisters lived and wrote their books.
